Hi everyone, this is my first post here but I've read alot of stuff on here and it seems like a great place to get some advice.
I bought an EasyCAP USB 2.0 capture device to record from my XBOX 360 (which outputs PAL-60) but I can't get it to work properly. The EasyCAP uses a Philips SAA7113H Chipset for the video processing and the drivers I have for it call the device a 'Syntek STK1150'. In the device settings I can choose the video standard but I only have: NTSC_M, NTSC_M_J, PAL_B, PAL_D, PAL_G, PAL_H, PAL_I, PAL_M, PAL_N, and SECAM_L. When I choose NTSC (to display the PAL-60 signal) it shows up in black and white (LIKE THIS) but when I select PAL I get a STILL image in colour but very distorted/overlapping (LIKE THIS). There are a number of videos on YouTube showing people getting EasyCap to work on PAL-60 by selecting NTSC_433 however I don't have this as an option even though the chip in the device should support it.
I have tried many different programs to handle the capturing: ULead Video Studio, AMCap, VirtualDub, Virtual VCR, ChrisTV, DScaler but they have all had the result I described above.
So what I'm asking is: Is there a way to 'force' the device into PAL-60/NTSC-433 mode or some software that can help? If not what is my best alternative? eg. buying a signal converter.

Thats what mine kept doing. I recently bought a EasycCap DC60 to capture my xbox gameplay and i set it all up correctly and ive put the settings to record in its best quality but when i change the format to PAL i oal some colour easycap pal 60 the screen overlaps, distorts etc but when i put it to NTSC i get a easyccap quality capture but it is in black and white and i get no colour.

There is a bug in Vista and Win7 programming in Ulead Video Studio 10 and that Preview audio feature doesn’t work, because that setting doesn’t stay in memory, but it should work right with playback.
